Overview

The Doom Corps is the primary combat division of the Hell Hosts and the backbone of its ground military.

Doom Corps soldiers are deployed to the front lines in overwhelming numbers, breaching enemy defences, securing strategic objectives, occupying contested territory, and establishing Hell Host control over active warzones.

The division possesses more personnel, battalions, weapons, and battlefield capabilities than any other Hell Host division. Most people who enlist in the Hell Hosts begin within the Doom Corps, although final placement depends on their interests, specialisations, training performance, and the needs of the military.

When civilians imagine the arrival of the Hell Hosts, it is usually the Doom Corps they picture:

Black armour.

Blood-red visors.

Thousands of soldiers advancing through smoke beneath the same insignia.

There are no heroes in Doom Corps. Only soldiers.

History

The Doom Corps was established during the unification of the Hell Hosts and became its central ground-combat force.

As Hell Host territory expanded, the division expanded alongside it. New battalions were formed to protect controlled worlds, assault enemy strongholds, occupy newly captured territory, and respond to threats throughout the Omicron Galaxy.

The Corps has continued to grow throughout its existence.

Official records recognise more than one thousand battalions, although the exact number of active formations is classified and changes constantly as new battalions are created, reorganised, merged, or lost.

The Doom Corps is not simply one army.

It is a military civilisation made up of hundreds of separate battalion identities, each serving beneath the same command structure.

Division Role

The Doom Corps specialises in:

  • Frontline warfare
  • Planetary assault
  • Territory seizure
  • Ground superiority
  • Defensive operations
  • Urban combat
  • Stronghold breaching
  • Strategic objective capture
  • Planetary occupation
  • Reconnaissance
  • Combined-arms operations
  • Large-scale troop deployment
  • Hazardous-environment warfare

Doom Corps forces are not deployed merely to enter contested territory.

They are expected to take it, hold it, and remain until ordered otherwise.

Command

Bulwark

The Doom Corps is commanded by Bulwark, one of the most respected military figures within the Hell Hosts.

Bulwark oversees the division’s battalions, operational doctrine, readiness, discipline, recruitment standards, and large-scale troop organisation.

Ultimate authority over the division remains with Predator, as it does with every part of the Hell Hosts. However, Bulwark possesses direct responsibility for the day-to-day command and development of the Doom Corps.

A common saying among its soldiers states:

“Predator built the Hell Hosts. Bulwark built the Doom Corps.”

Bulwark’s command allows figures such as Champion to focus on their own fleets, battalions, and operations without requiring them to oversee the entire division.

Organisation

The Doom Corps contains more than one thousand battalions.

While some are standard infantry formations composed of conventional frontline soldiers, most battalions possess their own identity, role, and battlefield doctrine.

A typical Doom Corps battalion contains approximately 5,000–10,000 personnel.

This number varies considerably.

Specialised battalions may operate with fewer soldiers, particularly units designed for reconnaissance, hunting, infiltration, or highly focused missions. The 612th Hunters Battalion, for example, is smaller than many conventional Doom Corps formations.

Larger battalions may contain enough personnel, vehicles, aircraft support, and attached units to operate as independent armies during planetary campaigns.

Battalion Identity

Battalions are one of the defining features of the Doom Corps.

Most possess distinct identities developed through their battlefield roles, histories, commanders, and traditions.

A battalion may possess:

  • A specialised combat role
  • A unique name or title
  • An individual insignia
  • Its own banner or colours
  • Distinct recruitment standards
  • Preferred weapons
  • Specialised armour
  • Unique battlefield doctrine
  • Internal traditions
  • Historical rivalries
  • Battle honours
  • A reputation among other units

Some battalions remain standard formations intended for general combat duty.

Others become highly specialised and are known throughout the Hell Hosts for a particular method of warfare.

Because of this system, two Doom Corps battalions may differ dramatically despite serving within the same division.

Known Battalions

Champion’s leadership of the 702nd exists alongside his wider position as Admiral of Fleet One.

403rd Battalion

A Doom Corps battalion commanded by Tyrant.

Recruitment

Most Hell Host personnel begin their military careers within the Doom Corps.

However, placement is not automatic.

A recruit’s eventual assignment depends on:

  • What role they wish to pursue
  • Their physical capabilities
  • Their combat performance
  • Their technical skills
  • Their psychological profile
  • Their preferred specialisation
  • Their results during training
  • Current military requirements

Recruits displaying aptitude in engineering, aviation, scientific research, policing, artillery, or other specialist fields may be transferred into another division.

Those remaining within the Doom Corps are assigned to battalions based on their abilities and the needs of each formation.

For many recruits, Doom Corps service is the standard beginning of a Hell Host military career.

For others, it becomes their entire life.

Division Doctrine

“Uniform. Unyielding. Anonymous.”

The Doom Corps trains its soldiers to function as part of a larger whole rather than as individual heroes.

Uniform

Every soldier serves beneath the same division, command structure, and purpose.

Personal differences are secondary to the battalion and the mission.

Unyielding

Doom Corps soldiers are expected to maintain discipline under overwhelming pressure.

They continue advancing through fear, casualties, hostile environments, and enemy resistance until the objective is secured or a withdrawal is ordered.

Anonymous

Anonymity does not mean that soldiers are forgotten.

It means that personal fame is considered less important than the survival of the battalion, the completion of the mission, and the lives of those fighting beside them.

Individual glory fades.

The Corps remains.

Philosophy

The Doom Corps does not teach its soldiers to seek heroism.

It teaches them to fulfil their duty.

Personal fame, medals, and battlefield reputation are considered secondary to mission success and the protection of fellow soldiers.

A commonly repeated phrase throughout the division states:

“There are no heroes in Doom Corps. Only soldiers.”

The saying is often used by instructors to discourage reckless attempts at individual glory.

A hero may charge forward alone.

A soldier advances with the formation.

Deployment Doctrine

Doom Corps battalions are commonly deployed in large formations with support from other Hell Host divisions.

Depending on the operation, Doom Corps forces may fight alongside:

Their primary battlefield method relies on sustained pressure, disciplined formations, overwhelming manpower, and coordinated combined-arms support.

Doom Corps forces breach enemy lines, seize strategic ground, and secure territory for the forces that follow.

They do not stop.

They do not break.

They take.

Standard-Issue Weapons

The Doom Corps has access to the enormous Hell Host military arsenal.

Weapons vary between battalions, individual roles, specialist training, and operational requirements. However, several weapons are commonly issued throughout the division.

94-CAR

Full Name: Carbine Automatic Assault Rifle
Weapon Type: Automatic carbine / assault rifle

The 94-CAR is one of the most widely used weapons within the Doom Corps.

It is designed as a reliable general-purpose firearm suitable for frontline combat, urban engagements, defensive operations, and standard patrol duty.

A12 Heavy Shotgun

Weapon Type: Heavy combat shotgun

The A12 Heavy Shotgun is used during close-quarters engagements, interior assaults, defensive operations, and stronghold breaching.

Its power makes it particularly effective in confined environments where overwhelming close-range force is required.

CR-556

Full Name: Combat Rifle
Weapon Type: General-purpose combat rifle

The CR-556 is a standard combat rifle used across numerous Doom Corps battalions.

It provides reliable performance across medium-range engagements and is commonly carried by conventional frontline personnel.

P2PSP

Full Name: P2 Particle Systematic Pistol
Weapon Type: Particle sidearm

The P2PSP is a commonly issued secondary weapon.

Its compact design allows it to be carried alongside heavier primary weapons and used in emergencies, confined environments, or situations where a soldier’s primary firearm is unavailable.

948 SMG

Full Name: 948 Scout Machine Gun
Weapon Type: Compact submachine gun

The 948 SMG is a compact automatic weapon comparable in role and appearance to a tactical machine pistol.

It is commonly used by scouts, vehicle crews, reconnaissance personnel, and soldiers requiring a lightweight firearm for close-range engagements.

Additional Equipment

Depending on their battalion and role, Doom Corps soldiers may also receive:

  • Marksman rifles
  • Sniper rifles
  • Heavy machine guns
  • Grenade launchers
  • Anti-armour weapons
  • Explosive charges
  • Combat knives
  • Breaching equipment
  • Reconnaissance systems
  • Communications equipment
  • Medical supplies
  • Environmental survival equipment
  • Battalion-specific weapons
  • Experimental Hell Host technology

The Doom Corps does not possess a single fixed arsenal.

It uses whatever weapons are required to complete the mission.

Standard Armour

Standard Doom Corps armour consists primarily of matte-black combat plating worn over a flexible protective undersuit.

The armour is designed for large-scale military production without sacrificing durability or battlefield functionality.

Common features include:

  • Ballistic protection
  • Environmental sealing
  • Integrated communications
  • Tactical displays
  • Ammunition storage
  • Utility pouches
  • Reinforced chest armour
  • Shoulder-mounted battalion insignia
  • Helmet-mounted optics
  • Blood-red visors
  • Mission-specific attachments

Specialised battalions may use modified armour suited to their operational role.

Despite these variations, the black armour and red visor remain recognisable symbols of the Doom Corps across the galaxy.

Colours

Armour ElementColourHex Code
PrimaryMatte Black#0B0B0B
SecondaryDeep Red#8D0E10
AccentGunmetal#2A2A2A
Visor and OpticsBlood Red#7A0006

The colour scheme is shared across much of the division, although individual battalions may add their own markings, insignia, or secondary details.

Insignia

The Doom Corps insignia depicts a red skull positioned over a downward-pointing blade and surrounded by wing-like shapes.

The skull represents the certainty of death faced by every soldier.

The blade represents offensive force and the Corps’ role as the spearhead of Hell Host ground operations.

The surrounding shapes represent the division standing together as one formation.

The insignia is commonly displayed on:

  • Shoulder armour
  • Chest plates
  • Battalion banners
  • Military installations
  • Vehicles
  • Deployment transports
  • Official documents
  • Memorials

Across the Omicron Galaxy, the symbol has become synonymous with overwhelming Hell Host military power.

Traditions

Helmets at Memorials

Doom Corps soldiers never remove their helmets during military memorials.

Remaining fully equipped is considered a sign of respect for the fallen.

The tradition symbolises that the deceased soldier remains part of the formation one final time, surrounded by comrades prepared to continue the duty they left behind.

A silent formation of black-armoured soldiers with red visors has become one of the most recognisable images associated with Doom Corps memorial ceremonies.

Battalion Colours

Most Doom Corps battalions possess a banner representing their identity, history, and service.

Battalion colours may display:

  • The unit’s number
  • Its insignia
  • Campaign markings
  • Battle honours
  • Names of significant worlds
  • Symbols representing fallen personnel

The banner accompanies the battalion during major deployments and formal ceremonies.

Final Roll Call

Following the deaths of Doom Corps personnel, a commanding officer may perform a final roll call.

The names of the fallen are spoken aloud.

No answer follows.

After the final name, the officer concludes the ceremony with the words:

“Duty fulfilled.”

The Wall

Before major defensive operations, Doom Corps formations may repeat the division motto:

“We Are the Wall.”

The phrase does not mean that the Corps believes itself incapable of falling.

It is a reminder that while its soldiers continue to stand, those behind them remain protected.

Civilian Perception

The arrival of the Doom Corps creates sharply conflicting reactions among civilian populations.

To a world threatened by invasion, occupation, monsters, or anomalous forces, the sight of Doom Corps transports descending from orbit may represent rescue.

To a neutral world, rebellious territory, or politically unstable colony, the same sight may be terrifying.

A single Doom Corps deployment can bring:

  • Thousands of soldiers
  • Armoured vehicles
  • Aircraft
  • Artillery support
  • Orbital warships
  • Military authority
  • The full attention of the Hell Hosts

A civilian shopkeeper may feel relieved that the Doom Corps has arrived to protect their city.

That same shopkeeper may also realise that one of the galaxy’s most powerful military states has just landed an army on their planet.

For many civilians, Doom Corps arrival means two things at once:

The danger may soon be over.

Life may never be the same again.

They may have come to save the planet.
They may also have come to claim it.

Military Reputation

Within the Hell Hosts, Doom Corps soldiers are respected for their numbers, discipline, endurance, and willingness to engage the enemy directly.

Other divisions may possess more specialised training, technology, or equipment, but the Doom Corps remains the force upon which large-scale Hell Host warfare depends.

The division is not celebrated because every soldier becomes famous.

It is respected because millions of soldiers perform their duty without expecting to be remembered.

Among enemies, a Doom Corps deployment indicates that the Hell Hosts have committed themselves to a conflict.

A patrol can be escaped.

A ship can be avoided.

A Doom Corps invasion cannot be ignored.

Notable Personnel

Bulwark

Commander of the Doom Corps and the officer responsible for overseeing its modern organisation, standards, and doctrine.

Motto

“We Are the Wall.”

The Doom Corps stands between Hell Host civilisation and those who would destroy it.

Creed

“No Retreat. No Mercy. Only Obligation.”

The creed represents the division’s expectation that its soldiers fulfil their duty regardless of fear, hardship, or personal cost.

Common Sayings

“There are no heroes in Doom Corps. Only soldiers.”

“Uniform. Unyielding. Anonymous.”

“Duty fulfilled.”

Notes

Doom Corps soldiers are not celebrated individually.

Most are never remembered outside their battalion, family, or squad.

They are the spearhead of the Hell Hosts’ will—thrown into the fires of war until the enemy is broken.

There are no heroes in Doom Corps.

Only results.
