Overview

The Eradication Division is one of the most destructive specialised branches of the Hell Hosts military.

Unlike the Doom Corps, which serves as the primary ground-combat backbone of the faction, Eradication is not designed to hold territory, police populations, or conduct routine military operations.

It exists for one purpose:

To completely destroy designated resistance.

Eradication forces are deployed when conventional assault is considered inefficient, excessively dangerous, or incapable of eliminating a threat quickly enough.

Their targets may include:

  • Heavily fortified military installations

  • Entrenched enemy formations

  • Contaminated combat zones

  • Rogue war machines

  • Hostile artificial intelligences

  • Biological hazards

  • Anomalous entities

  • Ascended threats

  • Enemy command structures

  • Locations marked for complete destruction

The division is composed overwhelmingly of purpose-built robotic combat platforms known collectively as:

ER Units

These machines are designed without fear, exhaustion, hesitation, or concern for personal survival.

Where conventional infantry may be suppressed, exhausted, or forced into retreat, Eradication machines continue advancing until:

  • Their target is destroyed

  • They are ordered to stop

  • Or their chassis is physically incapable of further combat

Their defining doctrine is simple:

“If it exists, if it is a target, if it resists, it will be eradicated.”

Purpose

The Eradication Division is not deployed merely to win battles.

It is deployed to end them.

Its primary responsibilities include:

  • Extermination operations

  • Heavy robotic assault

  • Fortification destruction

  • Hazard removal

  • Incendiary warfare

  • Anti-armour operations

  • High-risk objective destruction

  • Hostile facility sterilisation

  • Demolition

  • Hunter-killer missions

  • Extreme-environment operations

  • Anti-anomaly operations

  • Support against threats unsuitable for ordinary infantry

Eradication forces are particularly valuable in environments considered too dangerous for organic soldiers.

Deployment Doctrine

The deployment of Eradication forces represents a significant escalation in Hell Host military operations.

They are not generally used for ordinary patrols, occupation, civilian security, or standard infantry engagements.

Instead, Eradication units are introduced when command determines that a target must be:

  • Destroyed completely

  • Cleared rapidly

  • Neutralised without concern for machine casualties

  • Assaulted under extreme environmental conditions

  • Denied any realistic opportunity to regroup

A typical Eradication deployment may occur after Doom Corps units have already:

  • Identified the primary objective

  • Established friendly lines

  • Evacuated civilians

  • Cleared non-designated personnel

  • Marked zones for destruction

Once the operational area is cleared, Eradication is released.

Restricted Deployment

Despite their reputation, Eradication units are not permitted unrestricted use.

Hell Host Command maintains strict rules concerning their deployment near:

  • Civilian populations

  • Allied forces

  • Medical facilities

  • Evacuation corridors

  • Politically sensitive locations

  • Unstable anomalous environments

  • Critical infrastructure intended for later capture

Lower-tier ER units may be authorised relatively quickly during major battles.

Higher-tier machines require increasingly senior approval.

The deployment of units such as:

may require authorisation from extremely senior Hell Host leadership.

Some ER-XV deployments require direct approval from Predator or equivalent supreme command authority.

Deployment Warning

Before major Eradication operations, all friendly personnel within the designated combat zone receive an automated warning.

The warning begins with:

Three low electronic tones.

This is followed by:

“Eradication deployment authorised. All non-designated personnel evacuate the operational area.”

Veteran Hell Host soldiers recognise the warning immediately.

Enemy forces have also learned what it means.

On some battlefields, the sound alone has caused hostile personnel to abandon defensive positions before the first Eradication unit arrived.

Composition

The fighting strength of the Eradication Division consists almost entirely of robotic units.

These machines are supported by organic personnel responsible for:

  • Command oversight

  • Programming

  • Logistics

  • Maintenance

  • Weapons engineering

  • Battlefield recovery

  • Tactical analysis

  • Artificial intelligence monitoring

  • Transport

  • Research coordination

Humans do not normally fight directly as conventional Eradication infantry.

The machines are the infantry.

Artificial Intelligence

ER units vary significantly in intelligence.

Not every Eradication machine is a fully sapient artificial intelligence.

Most standard ER units operate using advanced tactical combat intelligence capable of:

  • Target identification

  • Squad coordination

  • Tactical adaptation

  • Pathfinding

  • Threat prioritisation

  • Weapon selection

  • Limited independent decision-making

Higher ER classes may possess significantly more sophisticated systems.

This does not necessarily make them people in the same sense as Enigma.

Enigma is a fully developed autonomous intelligence with emotional development, independent personality, and recognised personhood.

Most Eradication units are weapons.

The distinction is considered extremely important.

ER Classification System

Eradication machines are categorised through the ER Classification System.

The numerical designation does not simply indicate increasing strength.

Instead, each class represents a different battlefield purpose.

An ER-7 is not a replacement for an ER-1.

An ER-1 is still vastly more suitable for mass deployment.

Each machine exists because it solves a particular military problem.

ER-1 “Scorcher”

Standard Eradicator

Role: General assault / incendiary infantry
Production: Mass-produced
Estimated Quantity: Millions
Threat Level: Moderate individually / Extreme in mass deployment

The ER-1 Scorcher is the standard combat machine of the Eradication Division.

ER-1s are manufactured in enormous numbers and form the bulk of most Eradication deployments.

They are:

  • Durable

  • Relatively inexpensive

  • Easy to repair

  • Simple to manufacture

  • Capable of operating in large coordinated formations

Their preferred weapons include:

Scorchers are particularly infamous for combining firearms, explosives, and incendiary weapons during assaults.

A battlefield containing thousands of advancing ER-1 units is one of the most recognisable sights associated with the division.

ER-2 “Ripper”

Rapid Assault Eradicator

Role: Pursuit / flanking / rapid breach
Protection: Light
Mobility: Extremely High

The ER-2 Ripper is a lighter, faster derivative of the ER-1.

It sacrifices armour and durability for:

  • Speed

  • Agility

  • Reaction time

  • Pursuit capability

ER-2s specialise in:

  • Chasing retreating forces

  • Rapid flanking attacks

  • Urban assault

  • Interior clearing

  • Fast breaches

  • Overrunning lightly defended positions

Their primary weakness is reduced protection.

They can be destroyed more easily than most other Eradication classes.

Reaching them is the difficult part.

Some ER-2 units are capable of dropping into a quadrupedal running posture during high-speed pursuit.

This behaviour is not commonly appreciated by whoever is being pursued.

ER-3 “Bulwark”

Heavy Eradicator

Role: Suppression / frontal advance
Protection: Heavy
Mobility: Low

The ER-3 Bulwark is a heavily armoured version of the standard Eradication chassis.

Its purpose is simple:

Advance through fire that would stop lighter machines.

ER-3s commonly move at the front of Eradication formations, absorbing enemy fire while smaller units advance behind them.

Common weapons include:

An ER-3 may continue fighting after sustaining damage that would completely disable ordinary infantry.

ER-4 “Butcher”

Close-Quarters Eradicator

Role: Interior assault / bunker clearance
Identifier: Red skull painted across helmet

The ER-4 Butcher is one of the most feared conventional Eradication machines.

Larger than the first three ER classes, Butchers are designed for close-range combat inside:

  • Trenches

  • Ships

  • Bunkers

  • Underground facilities

  • Industrial complexes

  • Urban interiors

ER-4s are immediately recognisable by a painted:

Red skull

across the front of their helmets.

Common weapons include:

ER-4s are notorious for using Ion weaponry at distances considered dangerously close by organic soldiers.

The machines do not care about thermal shock, recoil trauma, or electromagnetic backlash in the same way a human operator would.

If an ER-4 has entered the building, the battle has usually already gone very badly for the defenders.

ER-5 “Longshot”

Heavy Marksman Eradicator

Role: Long-range elimination / anti-material combat

The ER-5 Longshot is a specialised long-range Eradication platform.

Rather than focusing solely on personnel, ER-5 units destroy:

  • Officers

  • Light vehicles

  • Communications arrays

  • Firing positions

  • Weapon emplacements

  • Fortified windows

  • Defensive equipment

Common weapons include:

ER-5 systems are capable of calculating penetration paths through structures before firing.

Targets may be eliminated through:

  • Walls

  • Defensive barriers

  • Light vehicle armour

  • Reinforced firing positions

47T Field Story

An old Hell Host field report claims that a round from the 47T Heavy Ballistic Sniper Rifle once:

  1. Penetrated the outer armour of a light tank

  2. Passed through the driver’s position

  3. Exited the opposite side

  4. Embedded itself inside a nearby concrete structure

Whether every part of the story is true remains debated.

The 47T remains powerful enough that few volunteers have expressed interest in testing it.

ER-6 “Martyr”

Demolition Eradicator

Role: Self-detonation / fortification destruction

The ER-6 Martyr is effectively a mobile demolition system.

ER-6 units infiltrate or charge enemy positions before deliberately detonating an internal explosive payload.

Different payload modules include:

  • Anti-fortification

  • Incendiary

  • EMP

  • Anti-shield

  • Fragmentation

  • Heavy demolition

ER-6 units are rarely deployed near organic Hell Host personnel.

Their use is generally reserved for areas already designated for destruction.

Because the ER-6 is robotic, Hell Host doctrine does not classify its destruction as a suicide attack.

The machine is considered expendable ordnance with legs.

ER-7 “Goliath”

Heavy Weapons Eradicator

Height: Approximately 8 feet
Role: Heavy firepower / anti-armour / assault support

The ER-7 Goliath is the largest routinely deployed Eradication infantry platform.

Standing approximately:

8 feet tall

the Goliath carries weapons that would be physically impractical for ordinary Hell Host soldiers.

Common systems include:

Some ER-7 weapon systems are nearly the size of a standard infantry soldier.

Goliaths are slow compared with lighter ER units.

Their purpose is not mobility.

Their purpose is to bring vehicle-scale firepower into an infantry formation.

ER-8 “Wraith”

Infiltration Eradicator

Role: Sabotage / stealth demolition

The ER-8 Wraith approaches eradication differently.

It does not attack the front gate.

It enters before the battle begins.

ER-8 units employ:

  • Low-signature armour

  • Reduced-noise actuators

  • Electronic camouflage

  • Advanced sensor suppression

  • Covert communications

Primary targets include:

  • Ammunition stores

  • Shield generators

  • Anti-air networks

  • Fuel depots

  • Communications arrays

  • Command centres

  • Power systems

A typical ER-8 operation may involve silently entering an enemy installation hours before a larger Eradication assault.

Common weapons include:

  • AX-0 Silence

  • Compact explosives

  • High-yield demolition charges

  • Suppressed penetrator weapons

The first visible sign of an ER-8 attack is frequently the destruction of whatever the enemy needed most.

ER-9 “Cinder”

Hazard Environment Eradicator

Role: Extreme environment warfare / containment

The ER-9 Cinder is designed for locations considered hazardous even by robotic standards.

ER-9s operate in:

  • Radiation zones

  • Chemical contamination

  • Biological hazards

  • Extreme heat

  • Extreme cold

  • Element 95 contamination

  • Anomalous environments

  • Industrial disaster zones

Their chassis features extensive sealing, sensor redundancy, and specialised environmental protection.

ER-9 units commonly work alongside:

Research Division

during hazardous recovery operations.

ER-10 “Shepherd”

Command Eradicator

Role: Battlefield coordination
Rarity: Uncommon

The ER-10 Shepherd is a specialised command machine.

Rather than maximising direct firepower, Shepherds coordinate large numbers of lesser ER units.

An ER-10 may dynamically manage:

  • Target distribution

  • Attack routes

  • Formation changes

  • Ammunition priorities

  • Reinforcement movement

  • Threat assessment

  • Recovery operations

The destruction of an ER-10 does not shut down nearby Eradication machines.

ER units remain independently functional.

However, their overall coordination usually becomes less efficient.

Shepherd units are recognisable by a smooth, featureless black faceplate containing a thin horizontal red light.

ER-11 “Harvester”

Recovery Eradicator

Role: Battlefield salvage / machine recovery

The ER-11 Harvester operates behind advancing Eradication formations.

Its task is not primarily to destroy enemies.

It recovers the Division itself.

Harvesters retrieve:

  • Damaged ER units

  • Intelligence cores

  • Weapons

  • Armour components

  • Specialist systems

  • Experimental equipment

They are also capable of crude battlefield repairs.

An ER machine missing an arm may receive a replacement taken from another destroyed chassis.

Some ER units have effectively been destroyed multiple times across their operational histories but repeatedly returned to service because enough of their core systems remained intact.

ER-12 “Revenant”

Hunter-Killer Eradicator

Role: Individual target pursuit
Rarity: Rare

The ER-12 Revenant is not normally assigned to battlefields.

It is assigned to:

People.

Or specific entities.

Targets may include:

  • Enemy commanders

  • Terrorists

  • War criminals

  • Rogue Ascended

  • Dangerous creatures

  • Escaped high-risk prisoners

  • Hostile artificial intelligences

  • Priority military personnel

Once assigned, an ER-12 can pursue a target for:

  • Days

  • Weeks

  • Months

It learns patterns.

Changes tactics.

Tracks associates.

Studies routines.

Running from an ER-12 does not automatically end the mission.

It merely extends it.

ER-13 “Null”

Anti-Anomaly Eradicator

Role: Anomalous / Ascended threat suppression
Rarity: Very Rare

The ER-13 Null was developed for threats that conventional weapons struggle to kill.

Potential targets include:

  • Ascended entities

  • Element 95 organisms

  • Dimensional anomalies

  • Reality-altered creatures

  • Unusual energy beings

  • Other extreme anomalous threats

Where the ER-9 is designed to survive anomalous environments, the ER-13 is designed to:

Fight what lives inside them.

ER-13 systems vary depending on operational requirements.

Common equipment may include:

  • VXR-13 Null Lance

  • Experimental suppression systems

  • Anti-anomaly ammunition

  • Prototype energy weaponry

ER-13 deployments are heavily restricted.

ER-14 “Overlord”

Superheavy Eradicator

Role: Mobile fortress / extreme assault
Height: Approximately 10–12 feet
Rarity: Extremely Rare

The ER-14 Overlord is the largest standardised Eradication platform.

Standing significantly taller than the ER-7, an Overlord operates somewhere between:

  • Infantry

  • Heavy weapons platform

  • Armoured vehicle

Its armour is sufficient for smaller ER units to advance behind it during assaults.

An Eradication formation built around an Overlord may include:

  • ER-1s advancing behind its armour

  • ER-2s operating along its flanks

  • ER-3s reinforcing frontal pressure

  • ER-7s providing heavy fire support

  • ER-10s coordinating the formation

ER-14 deployment usually indicates that command expects exceptional resistance.

ER-XV “Extinction”

Experimental Classification

Designation: ER-XV
Standardised Chassis: None
Standardised Weapons: None
Rarity: Exceptional
Authorisation: Highest-level restricted

The ER-XV Extinction designation does not refer to a single robot model.

ER-XV is a classification given to experimental Eradication platforms incorporating technologies considered:

  • Too unstable

  • Too expensive

  • Too powerful

  • Too poorly understood

  • Too dangerous

  • Or too specialised

for conventional mass production.

No two ER-XV units are guaranteed to be alike.

Experimental Materials

No single material defines the ER-XV programme.

Individual machines may incorporate entirely different technologies.

Examples include:

  • Element 95

  • Axionium

  • The Forge technology

  • Reverse-engineered alien systems

  • Prototype shielding

  • Experimental energy sources

  • Anomalous materials

  • Exotic armour

  • Advanced artificial intelligence

  • Experimental teleportation

  • Dimensional technology

Some ER-XV machines combine several systems.

Others are built around one specific experiment.

ER-XV Weapons

There is no standard ER-XV arsenal.

One machine might use:

  • Element 95 energy projection

Another might carry:

  • Axionium weaponry

Another may possess:

  • Forge-derived particle technology

Another may use a weapon that has never been approved for use anywhere else in the Hell Host military.

Some ER-XV units have reportedly been tested once and immediately placed into sealed storage.

ER-XV does not necessarily mean:

More powerful than ER-14.

It means:

Experimental. Unstandardised. Restricted.

A common saying regarding the classification states:

“If XV has arrived, whatever we’re fighting has already gone too far.”

Standard and Common Weapons

Eradication does not operate a completely isolated arsenal.

Robotic units may use modified versions of weapons also found elsewhere in the Hell Host military.

This allows units to adapt loadouts according to:

  • Target

  • Environment

  • Expected resistance

  • Machine class

  • Available supply

569 Grenade-Launching Shotgun

The 569 Grenade-Launching Shotgun combines a conventional shotgun with an integrated secondary grenade launcher.

Primary ammunition may include:

  • Buckshot

  • Armour-piercing shells

  • Incendiary shells

Secondary fire launches explosive grenades.

The weapon is particularly common among ER-1 Scorchers.

543 Ultra Flamethrower

The 543 Ultra Flamethrower is a high-temperature incendiary weapon capable of producing flames reaching approximately:

3,100°C

It is widely associated with the ER-1 Scorcher.

The weapon is designed for:

  • Fortification clearing

  • Area denial

  • Biological threat destruction

  • Industrial target destruction

HB245 Incendiary Grenade

The HB245 Incendiary Grenade is a specialised Hell Host incendiary explosive.

Although not universally issued, it is used heavily by flame-oriented units and Eradication forces.

It has historically been associated with formations such as:

660th Flame Battalion

71 High-Calibre Machine Gun

The 71 High-Calibre Machine Gun is a heavy automatic weapon designed for sustained anti-personnel and suppression fire.

It is particularly effective when mounted or carried by heavily reinforced robotic operators.

ER-3 units commonly field it.

Older Hell Host descriptions characterised the weapon as:

“Perfect for mowing down infantry like a bloody lawn-mower.”

The wording is considered unofficial.

The underlying assessment is unfortunately accurate.

39TG Semi-Automatic Grenade Launcher

The 39TG Semi-Automatic Grenade Launcher is a heavy grenade system effective against:

  • Vehicles

  • Infantry concentrations

  • Defensive positions

  • Light fortifications

It is also used by specialised anti-armour Hell Host formations.

Atrius IV

The Atrius IV, often shortened to A-IV, is a heavy pulse rifle.

Rather than producing rapid fire, the weapon charges before releasing a powerful concentrated energy pulse.

Its output makes it particularly useful against:

  • Armour

  • Shields

  • Fortified personnel

  • Heavy robotic targets

47T Heavy Ballistic Sniper Rifle

The 47T Heavy Ballistic Sniper Rifle is an extreme anti-material weapon capable of penetrating heavy armour.

It remains one of the most powerful conventional ballistic precision weapons available to Hell Host forces.

558 Cycler Sniper Rifle

The 558 Cycler Sniper Rifle uses an electromagnetic acceleration chamber.

The weapon requires time to charge before firing.

During this process, successive acceleration systems increase projectile velocity before release.

The longer firing cycle makes it unsuitable for ordinary close combat.

For an ER-5 capable of waiting motionlessly for hours, this is rarely considered a problem.

Purpose-Built Eradication Weapons

Certain systems are designed specifically for robotic Eradication personnel.

These weapons may produce:

  • Excessive recoil

  • Extreme heat

  • Dangerous electrical discharge

  • High radiation

  • Physical loads

that would make them unsafe or impractical for standard organic operators.

EXE-12 “Eradicator” Rifle

The EXE-12 Eradicator Rifle is the most common purpose-built rifle associated with the division.

It is:

  • Fully automatic

  • High-calibre

  • Electronically fired

  • Highly resistant to contamination

  • Designed for extreme temperatures

  • Extremely durable

The EXE-12 is particularly common among ER-2 units.

DTH-9 “Incinerator” Shotgun

The DTH-9 Incinerator is an oversized automatic combat shotgun built specifically for robotic operators.

Compatible ammunition includes:

  • Heavy buckshot

  • Armour-piercing slugs

  • Incendiary shells

  • Breaching rounds

  • Explosive shells

  • Ion-disruption ammunition

Common users include:

  • ER-1

  • ER-4

ION-47 “Breaker”

The ION-47 Breaker is one of the primary Ion weapons used by the Eradication Division.

It fires concentrated ionised energy designed to disrupt:

  • Powered armour

  • Shields

  • Electronics

  • Vehicles

  • Robotic systems

The Breaker possesses three primary firing modes.

Pulse

Rapid lower-energy Ion fire.

Breaker

A charged anti-armour and anti-shield shot.

Surge

A short-range discharge releasing most of the weapon’s capacitor at once.

Surge Mode produces enough thermal and electromagnetic backlash that it is considered unsafe for ordinary organic infantry.

ER-4 Butchers use it anyway.

Frequently at close range.

ION-88 “Headsman”

The ION-88 Headsman is the heavy counterpart to the Breaker.

Designed primarily for ER-7 Goliaths, the weapon produces an enormous concentrated Ion discharge capable of damaging:

  • Heavy armour

  • Fortifications

  • Energy shields

  • Large robotic targets

The weapon requires significant cooling after firing.

An organic operator would struggle with both recoil and thermal output.

GRV-7 “Mauler”

The GRV-7 Mauler is an oversized automatic ballistic weapon.

It is essentially a portable heavy weapons platform intended for:

  • ER-3

  • ER-7

  • ER-14 support use

Some ER-7 configurations feed the Mauler from a large ammunition reservoir mounted across the machine’s back.

Its purpose is sustained destruction of hardened enemy positions.

REDSTORM Missile Launcher

The REDSTORM Missile Launcher is a modular smart missile system.

Its missiles may configure targeting behaviour according to the identified threat.

Potential targets include:

  • Infantry

  • Vehicles

  • Aircraft

  • Fortifications

  • Defensive emplacements

The system is commonly used by ER-3s and ER-7s.

89X “Rupture”

The 89X Rupture is an explosive anti-material rifle often associated with the ER-5 Longshot.

Rather than detonating immediately on contact, specialised ammunition may penetrate before exploding.

Available ammunition includes:

  • Fragmentation

  • Armour-piercing delayed explosive

  • Incendiary

  • EMP

  • Anti-shield

  • Airburst

ER-5 units have used the weapon to eliminate targets located inside fortified structures.

AX-0 “Silence”

The AX-0 Silence is a specialised low-signature weapon primarily used by ER-8 Wraiths.

It uses electromagnetic acceleration to launch specialised penetrator rounds with minimal:

  • Muzzle flash

  • Acoustic signature

  • Propellant residue

The weapon is not intended for prolonged firefights.

Its purpose is to eliminate personnel who detect an ER-8 before they can raise an alarm.

HX-9 “Cremator”

The HX-9 Cremator is a purpose-built heavy incendiary system.

Unlike the widely used 543 Ultra Flamethrower, the Cremator is intended for particularly destructive eradication missions.

Different compounds may be loaded depending on the target.

ER-1 units fitted with Cremators carry enlarged external fuel systems.

A common Doom Corps warning regarding these units states:

“If you see a Scorcher’s tanks, don’t shoot the tanks.”

The saying exists because someone apparently had to learn that lesson first.

VXR-13 “Null Lance”

The VXR-13 Null Lance is a rare experimental weapon used primarily during anti-anomaly operations.

Not every Null Lance is identical.

Different versions may incorporate:

  • Axionium

  • Element 95

  • Experimental energy systems

  • Anomalous materials

  • Reverse-engineered technology

The weapon is therefore treated as a family of experimental systems rather than a single fixed design.

Recovery Doctrine

Hell Hosts considers damaged Eradication machines recoverable military assets whenever possible.

This responsibility falls largely to:

ER-11 Harvester

units.

Important recovered components include:

  • Combat cores

  • Memory systems

  • Targeting systems

  • Weapons

  • Experimental materials

  • Unique chassis components

A machine does not necessarily leave service because its body was destroyed.

If the core survives, it may be:

  • Repaired

  • Reinstalled

  • Transferred

  • Reconstructed

Some veteran ER units have served through multiple chassis.

Relationship with Doom Corps

The Doom Corps and Eradication Division fulfil very different roles.

Doom Corps:

  • Captures territory

  • Holds positions

  • Protects strategic locations

  • Conducts general ground warfare

  • Works around civilians

  • Maintains long-term battlefield presence

Eradication:

  • Destroys designated targets

  • Clears fortified zones

  • Performs extreme assaults

  • Eliminates hazardous threats

  • Operates where preservation is secondary to destruction

Doom Corps personnel generally respect Eradication units.

They also prefer not to be standing near the target when they arrive.

Relationship with Research Division

The Research Division maintains one of the closest working relationships with Eradication.

Research personnel develop and test:

  • Experimental weaponry

  • New robotic systems

  • Anomalous countermeasures

  • Element 95 technology

  • Axionium systems

  • Prototype armour

  • Artificial intelligence

  • ER-XV projects

Eradication provides a battlefield environment in which those systems can be tested under actual combat conditions.

This arrangement has produced some of the most powerful weapons in Hell Host service.

It has also produced several projects everyone involved would prefer not to discuss.

Relationship with Spectre Division

The relationship between the Spectre Division and Eradication is occasionally uncomfortable.

Spectre specialises in:

  • Law enforcement

  • Arrest

  • Investigation

  • Prison security

  • Internal discipline

Eradication specialises in:

Not those things.

Spectre personnel are often responsible for determining whether a target must be captured.

If capture is no longer required, Eradication may become involved.

Relationship with Fire Division

The Fire Division frequently supports Eradication operations through:

  • Artillery preparation

  • Siege bombardment

  • Defensive suppression

  • Long-range target destruction

  • Fire coordination

Fire Division destroys the battlefield from distance.

Eradication enters what remains.

Combined deployment of both divisions is considered a severe escalation.

Human Personnel

Although the frontline machines receive most of the attention, Eradication could not function without its organic support personnel.

These include:

  • Robotics engineers

  • Artificial intelligence specialists

  • Weapons technicians

  • Logistics officers

  • Armourers

  • Command personnel

  • Recovery crews

  • Software engineers

  • Research liaisons

Many develop unusually dark senses of humour.

Working around several million heavily armed machines apparently has that effect.

Machine Culture

Most Eradication robots possess no true social culture.

However, long-serving machines may accumulate:

  • Repair markings

  • Operation identifiers

  • Chassis replacement records

  • Enemy kill markings

  • Unit insignia

  • Maintenance nicknames

Ground crews occasionally name individual machines.

The machines generally do not care.

The technicians do.

Psychological Warfare

Eradication deployment has considerable psychological impact.

Enemy forces have learned to recognise:

  • Red optical systems

  • Blood-red skull markings

  • Eradication warning tones

  • ER-4 helmet skulls

  • Heavy robotic footsteps

  • Incendiary weapon signatures

Some enemy formations have surrendered immediately after confirming Eradication deployment.

Whether surrender prevents Eradication engagement depends on:

  • Mission orders

  • Target classification

  • Command authorisation

  • Whether the surrender occurred before or after eradication status was confirmed

This uncertainty contributes heavily to the division’s reputation.

Visual Identity

Eradication equipment typically uses:

Primary: Blood Red
Secondary: Matte Black
Accent: Gunmetal
Lighting: Hellfire Orange / Red

Common visual features include:

  • Red optics

  • Skull insignia

  • Heavy black armour

  • Exposed mechanical systems

  • Glowing weapon components

  • Red target markings

The ER-4 Butcher is particularly recognisable due to the red skull painted across its helmet.

Insignia

The Eradication Division insignia consists of a stylised skull surrounded by angular markings associated with:

  • Containment

  • Destruction

  • Extermination

The symbol is rarely displayed subtly.

When Eradication arrives, concealment is generally no longer part of the plan.

Reputation

Among Hell Host Personnel

Eradication is regarded as:

  • Effective

  • Terrifying

  • Extremely reliable

  • Excessive

  • Necessary under the correct circumstances

Many soldiers are grateful the machines are on their side.

Most also prefer maintaining a respectable distance.

Among Enemy Forces

Few Hell Host formations possess the same psychological reputation.

The appearance of Eradication units commonly indicates that:

  • The objective is no longer being negotiated over

  • The area may soon become unsafe

  • Reinforcements are unlikely to change the outcome

  • Hell Host Command has stopped prioritising capture

The sight of an ER-14 or ER-XV can dramatically alter enemy morale before combat begins.

Division Doctrine

The Eradication Division does not celebrate cruelty.

It does not require hatred.

Its machines do not need either.

They simply receive:

  • A target

  • An operational boundary

  • An authorisation

And then execute the order.

The Division’s defining principle remains:

“If it exists, if it is a target, if it resists, it will be eradicated.”

Quotes & Sayings

“If it exists, if it is a target, if it resists, it will be eradicated.”

“Eradication deployment authorised. All non-designated personnel evacuate the operational area.”

“If XV has arrived, whatever we’re fighting has already gone too far.”

“If you see a Scorcher’s tanks, don’t shoot the tanks.”

“An infantry assault captures the bunker. Eradication removes the bunker.”
