Hell Host Fleets

The Hell Host Armada is the primary naval force of the Hell Hosts, responsible for military operations throughout Hell Host territory and across the wider Omicron Galaxy.

The Armada is organized into twelve major fleet-level formations. Ten are numbered fleets, while the remaining two are dedicated to planetary defence and large-scale military logistics.

Although every Hell Host fleet is capable of conventional naval warfare, each has developed a primary strategic role. Some are designed for direct offensive operations, while others specialize in exploration, experimentation, planetary invasion, reconnaissance, or overwhelming firepower.

Fleet specialization does not prevent a formation from operating outside its intended role. Individual fleets may be reassigned, divided into smaller task forces, or combined with other fleets depending on the requirements of a campaign.

First Fleet

Primary Role: Offensive Warfare

The First Fleet is one of the primary offensive formations of the Hell Host Armada.

It is designed for large-scale attacks against hostile military forces, including system invasions, major fleet engagements, assaults against fortified positions, and prolonged offensive campaigns.

The First Fleet frequently operates at the forefront of major Hell Host wars and is capable of supporting both naval and planetary operations.

Second Fleet

Primary Role: Rapid Response

The Second Fleet specializes in rapid deployment and emergency military response.

Its formations prioritize speed, mobility, carrier support, and the rapid transportation of personnel and equipment. The fleet can be deployed to threatened systems before heavier formations of the Armada arrive.

Second Fleet operations commonly include emergency reinforcement, interception, evacuation support, rapid assault, and responding to unexpected attacks.

Third Fleet

Primary Role: Heavy Fleet Warfare

The Third Fleet specializes in direct engagements against major hostile naval forces.

Its doctrine emphasizes sustained ship-to-ship warfare, heavy capital vessels, coordinated firepower, and engagements against enemy battleships, carriers, and other major warships.

The Third Fleet is frequently deployed when Hell Host command expects a campaign to involve extensive conventional naval combat.

Fourth Fleet

Primary Role: Exploration and Research

The Fourth Fleet conducts long-range exploration, scientific expeditions, archaeological operations, and missions into poorly understood regions of the Omicron Galaxy.

Unlike purely scientific organizations, the Fourth Fleet remains a fully armed military formation. Exploration teams are frequently required to operate in hostile systems, investigate anomalous phenomena, recover ancient technology, and survive contact with previously unknown threats.

Its vessels commonly support scientific personnel, researchers, engineers, reconnaissance teams, containment specialists, and Exploration Command.

Fifth Fleet

Primary Role: Experimental Warfare

The Fifth Fleet serves as a major operational testing ground for experimental Hell Host naval technology.

Prototype weapons, defensive systems, propulsion technology, artificial intelligence, sensors, and experimental spacecraft may be deployed alongside conventional vessels for evaluation under real operational conditions.

Some technologies tested by the Fifth Fleet eventually enter widespread Hell Host service. Others remain restricted to experimental formations or are abandoned entirely due to cost, instability, danger, or impracticality.

As a result, the exact capabilities of the Fifth Fleet can change significantly between deployments.

Sixth Fleet

Primary Role: Expeditionary Warfare

The Sixth Fleet specializes in extended military operations far from established Hell Host territory.

Designed to remain operational for long periods without immediate access to major Hell Host installations, the fleet places considerable emphasis on endurance, repair capability, logistical independence, and adaptability.

The Sixth Fleet is commonly used for distant campaigns, prolonged deployments, frontier operations, and military expeditions where conventional reinforcement may be unavailable.

Seventh Fleet

Primary Role: Strategic Firepower

The Seventh Fleet specializes in overwhelming conventional firepower.

Its doctrine favors the deployment of disproportionately heavy military force against strategically important targets, particularly when Hell Host command determines that a threat must be eliminated quickly and decisively.

The fleet contains a high concentration of heavy warships, long-range weapon systems, strategic munitions, and vessels designed to attack heavily fortified targets.

Among Hell Host personnel, the Seventh Fleet’s doctrine is sometimes jokingly summarized as “bringing a nuke to a knife fight.”

Eighth Fleet

Primary Role: Reconnaissance and Intelligence

The Eighth Fleet specializes in naval reconnaissance, surveillance, electronic warfare, intelligence gathering, and the tracking of hostile military forces.

Its vessels frequently operate ahead of larger Hell Host formations, identifying enemy positions, monitoring fleet movements, mapping potential battlefields, and gathering information before major operations begin.

The Eighth Fleet also maintains specialist vessels designed for stealth operations, communications interception, sensor warfare, and long-range observation.

Ninth Fleet

Primary Role: Planetary Assault

The Ninth Fleet specializes in large-scale planetary invasion and ground-force deployment.

Its formations are designed to transport soldiers, vehicles, aircraft, heavy equipment, and supplies directly into active war zones while providing orbital support to forces operating on the surface.

The fleet maintains extensive transport, carrier, bombardment, and landing capabilities and frequently works alongside the Doom Corps, Eradication Division, and other Hell Host ground formations during major invasions.

Tenth Fleet

Primary Role: Strategic Reserve and Reinforcement

The Tenth Fleet serves as the primary strategic reserve of the Hell Host Armada.

Rather than remaining permanently committed to a single theatre of war, the fleet is maintained as a flexible reinforcement force capable of responding to unexpected military developments.

Elements of the Tenth Fleet may reinforce damaged formations, replace combat losses, respond to newly emerging threats, or provide additional forces during particularly large campaigns.

Its deliberately flexible organization allows it to support virtually any other fleet when required.

Supply Fleet

Primary Role: Logistics and Fleet Support

The Supply Fleet maintains the enormous logistical network required to keep the Hell Host Armada operational.

Its vessels transport ammunition, fuel, food, medical supplies, replacement equipment, personnel, vehicles, spare components, and other resources between Hell Host installations and active military formations.

The fleet also contains vessels dedicated to repair, recovery, medical support, transportation, and mobile resupply.

Although primarily a support formation, the Supply Fleet maintains its own defensive capabilities and escorts due to the strategic importance of its vessels.

Without the Supply Fleet, extended Hell Host operations across the Omicron Galaxy would be extremely difficult to sustain.

Voridinus II Defence Fleet

Primary Role: Capital Defence

The Voridinus II Defence Fleet is permanently assigned to the defence of Voridinus II, the primary world and headquarters of the Hell Hosts.

Unlike the numbered fleets, its primary responsibility is not expeditionary warfare but the protection of Hell Host territory surrounding the capital.

The fleet operates alongside the planet’s extensive orbital defences, military installations, sensor networks, defensive stations, and surface-based anti-ship weapons.

Its forces maintain constant readiness to intercept hostile vessels, reinforce orbital defences, protect strategically important infrastructure, and respond to attacks against the Hell Host capital.

While elements of the fleet may occasionally operate elsewhere, its central purpose remains unchanged:

Voridinus II must remain defended.
