The Veil
The Veil is a mysterious cosmic region believed to have formed through the interaction between Element 95 and the ancient entity known as The Witness. Unlike the violent corruption of the Farlands or the unstable reality distortions of the Voidlands, the Veil exists as a calm, interconnected consciousness spreading silently across space.
The region is often described as unnaturally peaceful. Vast purple skies, silent oceans, floating crystalline structures, and endless fields of glowing 95 matter dominate the environment. Whispers can be heard without source, thoughts seem to bleed between individuals, and many explorers report feeling watched — or understood — by something beyond comprehension.
Within the Veil, Element 95 behaves differently than anywhere else in the galaxy. Rather than causing uncontrolled mutation, it links minds, memories, and consciousness together into a collective state. Prolonged exposure to the Veil gradually erodes individuality, replacing it with a growing sense of unity and connection.

The Veil became increasingly active following the ascension of Destiny and Scyther, who were transported into the Voidlands before emerging transformed by the Veil’s influence. Since their ascension, both figures have become deeply connected to the region, acting as powerful conduits of Element 95 consciousness.
Many civilizations view the Veil as one of the greatest existential threats within the galaxy — not because it destroys life, but because it assimilates it.
