Era 3 — Power Unbound

Power Unbound marked a major turning point in the history of the Omicron Galaxy. While conventional military conflict remained a major force throughout the era, the search for anomalous power, ancient technology, and forbidden knowledge became increasingly important to the factions and individuals shaping the galaxy.

Following the Hell Host–Free World War and the disappearance of Onyx, Ultimatum assumed temporary leadership of the Free World Order. The growing threat of the Angel Swords eventually pushed the Free World Order and Hell Hosts into an unlikely temporary alliance despite their recent war.

At the same time, the Hell Hosts expanded their presence within the Prioxis System, bringing them into greater contact with civilian populations, corporations, criminal organizations, and the Protection and Crime Enforcement.

Within the Aegimius System, PCE detective Robert Anderson discovered an ancient Elysarian Ascension Chamber while investigating the disappearance of Mick Holder. Anderson survived its activation and became one of the first major modern examples of an Ascension Event.

The era also saw the return of Destiny after nine months of captivity by the Obsidian Veil. Shortly afterwards, Blood disappeared during an operation within the Ashen Kingdom and underwent a catastrophic Ascension, eventually becoming the Ashen Lord.

Tensions surrounding Element 95 and the search for increasingly powerful weapons eventually escalated into the Hell Host–Angel Sword War. The Hell Hosts and Free World Order fought together against the Angel Swords in a massive conflict spanning numerous systems, with major battles taking place around Joshua and Genesis. The war ended with the Angel Swords overwhelmed and their surviving forces scattering throughout the galaxy.

Following the war, personnel from the Hell Hosts and Free World Order gathered together at a remote cabin to celebrate their victory, providing a rare moment of peace between soldiers who had once fought against one another.

The era concluded with the Ascension of Ellie Parsons, a relatively new Hell Host soldier who discovered the ancient Chamber of Ogygia during a reconnaissance mission within the Ice Kingdom. The chamber transformed Ellie into Calypso, the Ice Queen, awakening a kingdom that had remained dormant for centuries.

By the end of Power Unbound, the balance of power within the Omicron Galaxy had begun to change.

Ancient technologies were awakening.

Ascension had returned.

And ordinary people were beginning to become something far greater.
