Ultimatum

Real Name: Unknown
Codename: Ultimatum
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Height: 6’0”
Faction: Free World Order
Former Faction: Hell Hosts
Position: Senior Commander / Former Acting Leader
Status: Active

Ultimatum is a senior member of the Free World Order, a former Hell Hosts soldier, and one of the few individuals to have held leadership over the Free World Order in the absence of Onyx.

Originally serving within Hell Hosts, Ultimatum eventually left the faction after developing fundamental disagreements with its methods and moral conduct.

Rather than becoming an indiscriminate enemy of his former comrades, Ultimatum continued to respect several individuals within Hell Hosts despite his opposition to the faction itself.

He later joined the Free World Order, where his combat experience, leadership ability, and knowledge of Hell Host military doctrine allowed him to rise rapidly through the organisation.

Following the disappearance of Onyx, Ultimatum assumed leadership of the Free World Order.

His period as leader became particularly significant when the Free World Order and Hell Hosts temporarily set aside their conflict and fought alongside one another against the Angel Swords.

Personality

Ultimatum is principled, determined, and considerably more politically minded than many of the Free World Order’s frontline operatives.

His decision to leave Hell Hosts was not caused by personal hatred toward every member of the faction.

Instead, he became increasingly unwilling to accept methods and decisions he considered morally unacceptable.

This distinction has remained central to his character.

Ultimatum is capable of fighting Hell Host personnel while simultaneously maintaining respect for individuals he once served beside.

He does not automatically consider former comrades irredeemable simply because they remained within the organisation.

Likewise, his membership within the Free World Order does not prevent him from criticising its actions when he believes they contradict the principles it claims to represent.

Ultimatum genuinely believes the Free World Order should contribute toward creating a better and freer galaxy.

Whether the faction consistently succeeds in meeting that ideal is another matter.

Hell Host Service

Before joining the Free World Order, Ultimatum served as a soldier within Hell Hosts.

He developed considerable combat experience during this period and formed relationships with numerous Hell Host personnel.

Over time, however, Ultimatum became increasingly uncomfortable with aspects of the faction’s conduct.

He disagreed with several of its methods and eventually determined that continued service would require him to accept actions he could no longer justify.

Ultimatum subsequently left Hell Hosts.

His departure was ideological rather than the result of a personal feud with every member of the organisation.

This allowed several of his former relationships to survive in some form even after he became a member of a rival faction.

Joining the Free World Order

Following his departure from Hell Hosts, Ultimatum eventually joined the Free World Order.

He was attracted to the ideals represented by the faction and believed it offered an opportunity to pursue a different vision for the Omicron Galaxy.

His previous service immediately made him valuable.

Ultimatum possessed firsthand knowledge of Hell Host weapons, tactics, military organisation, training, and battlefield behaviour.

More importantly, he was already an experienced soldier.

Ultimatum proved himself repeatedly in combat and eventually became one of the Free World Order’s most prominent members.

Conflict with Hell Hosts

Ultimatum participated in combat against his former faction during the wider conflict between Hell Hosts and the Free World Order.

His history made these engagements particularly complicated.

He had personally known some of the soldiers now fighting against him.

Despite this, Ultimatum demonstrated that he was fully capable of confronting Hell Host personnel when necessary.

He has defeated several Hell Host soldiers in direct combat and is responsible for the deaths of others during engagements between the factions.

These actions contributed to his reputation within both organisations.

To some Hell Host personnel, Ultimatum became a traitor.

To others, he remained a former comrade who had chosen the opposing side.

Ultimatum himself has never treated the distinction lightly.

Disappearance of Onyx

At some point during the history of the Free World Order, Onyx disappeared.

The circumstances surrounding his disappearance left the faction without its established leader and created considerable uncertainty regarding its future.

Ultimatum ultimately assumed leadership.

His selection represented a significant moment in Free World history.

A man who had once served within Hell Hosts was now responsible for leading one of its greatest rival powers.

Ultimatum did not attempt to replace Onyx’s identity or legacy within the faction.

Instead, he treated his leadership as a responsibility created by extraordinary circumstances.

Acting Leader of the Free World Order

As leader, Ultimatum became responsible for far more than battlefield operations.

He inherited military, political, logistical, and diplomatic responsibilities affecting the wider Free World Order.

His leadership style differed from that of Onyx.

Ultimatum’s previous experience within Hell Hosts gave him a particularly detailed understanding of the faction the Free World Order had spent so long fighting.

It also meant that he understood Hell Hosts as more than an abstract enemy.

He knew its soldiers.

He knew its culture.

And he knew that circumstances existed in which cooperation between the two factions was possible.

That understanding would eventually become critically important.

Alliance Against the Angel Swords

During Ultimatum’s leadership, the conflict involving the Angel Swords escalated to the point that the existing rivalry between Hell Hosts and the Free World Order became secondary to a larger threat.

The two factions temporarily aligned against their common enemy.

Ultimatum played a central role in the Free World Order’s participation in the alliance.

For many personnel on both sides, cooperation was extremely difficult.

Years of warfare, personal losses, and mutual hatred could not simply be erased because commanders had declared a temporary alliance.

Ultimatum occupied an unusual position within this environment.

He had fought as a Hell Host.

He had fought against Hell Hosts.

He had friends and former comrades among them.

And he now commanded the faction that had spent years opposing them.

His history allowed him to understand the distrust present on both sides better than most.

The alliance did not erase the conflict between Hell Hosts and the Free World Order.

It demonstrated that, under sufficiently extreme circumstances, the two factions were capable of fighting beside one another.

Onyx’s Return

Onyx was eventually revealed to have survived his disappearance.

His return ended the circumstances that had placed Ultimatum at the head of the Free World Order.

Ultimatum relinquished overall leadership and remained an important member of the faction.

His period as acting leader nevertheless became a major chapter in Free World history.

He had inherited the organisation during the absence of its founder, maintained it through a period of instability, and led it through an unprecedented alliance with one of its greatest enemies.

Relationship with Onyx

Ultimatum respects Onyx as the established leader of the Free World Order.

Their respective histories, however, are very different.

Onyx’s rivalry with Predator is deeply personal and predates the existence of both factions.

Ultimatum’s conflict with Hell Hosts is primarily ideological.

This difference can occasionally result in contrasting perspectives regarding the faction and its personnel.

Where Onyx sees Predator through the history of their betrayal and rivalry, Ultimatum remembers having once served alongside Hell Host soldiers himself.

Relationships with Hell Hosts

Ultimatum retains complicated relationships with several Hell Host personnel from his previous service.

Some consider his departure an unforgivable betrayal.

Others understand his reasons even if they fundamentally disagree with them.

Ultimatum himself continues to respect certain Hell Host members.

During the temporary alliance against the Angel Swords, some of these old relationships resurfaced as former allies found themselves fighting on the same side once again.

The experience did not repair the wider relationship between their factions, but it demonstrated that years of political conflict had not completely erased every personal connection that existed before it.

Combat

Ultimatum is an experienced and highly capable combatant.

His training combines experience acquired during his service with Hell Hosts with techniques and equipment adopted after joining the Free World Order.

He is particularly dangerous because of his familiarity with both factions.

Ultimatum understands many Hell Host combat doctrines from firsthand experience and has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to defeat highly trained personnel.

His armour incorporates enhanced mobility and strength-assistance systems that improve his physical performance without granting unlimited superhuman capabilities.

Armour Systems

Ultimatum’s combat armour incorporates several advanced systems.

Strength Assistance

Powered components within the armour increase Ultimatum’s lifting capacity and physical striking power while reducing the burden of heavy equipment.

Mobility Assistance

The armour can temporarily enhance acceleration and movement speed, allowing Ultimatum to reposition quickly during combat.

Thermal Imaging

His helmet contains thermal and multispectral imaging equipment for detecting personnel and navigating environments with poor visibility.

Jetpack

Ultimatum uses a compact military jetpack integrated into the rear of his armour.

The system provides enhanced battlefield mobility, allowing him to cross vertical obstacles, reach elevated positions, perform controlled descents, and conduct short aerial manoeuvres.

It is not intended for unrestricted long-distance flight.

Weapons

Ultimatum’s primary weapon is an advanced ballistic submachine gun capable of accepting several specialised ammunition types.

This allows him to alter his ammunition according to the armour, environment, or target encountered during an operation.

He additionally carries an assault rifle for engagements requiring greater range and sustained firepower.

A pistol serves as his secondary weapon.

Photograph

Ultimatum carries an old photograph depicting friends from his time within Hell Hosts.

He continued carrying it even after leaving the faction and eventually fighting against it.

The photograph represents an important distinction within Ultimatum’s worldview.

Leaving Hell Hosts did not erase the people he had known there.

Some became enemies.

Some remained people he respected.

Some may no longer be alive.

Ultimatum keeps the photograph regardless.

Legacy

Ultimatum occupies an unusual position within the history of both Hell Hosts and the Free World Order.

He has served within both sides of their conflict.

He has fought Hell Hosts.

He has killed Hell Host personnel.

He has fought alongside them.

And, during Onyx’s disappearance, he became leader of the very faction that had emerged as one of their greatest rivals.

His history demonstrates that the conflict between Hell Hosts and the Free World Order has never been as simple as two factions whose members universally hate one another.

Ultimatum has stood on both sides.

For a period, he was responsible for bringing them onto the same one.
