War of Virex Prime

The War of Virex Prime was one of the most significant turning points in the history of the Omicron Galaxy, marking the collapse of the prolonged war between the Terrorism Control Agency and Free Order Rebellion and creating the circumstances that ultimately led to the formation of the Hell Hosts.

The conflict took place on Virex Prime, a heavily populated urban-industrial world that became the site of the final major confrontation between the TCA and FOR. By the final stages of the war, large portions of the planet’s capital region had been devastated by prolonged fighting, orbital bombardment, and increasingly destructive military operations.

What began as a final attempt by both factions to defeat the other was ultimately disrupted by the intervention of outside powers. The involvement of The Rogue Fleet and later the Free World Order transformed the battle into a chaotic multi-faction conflict that neither the TCA nor FOR could control.

By the end of the battle, the old TCA–FOR conflict had effectively collapsed.

From the remnants of the two former enemies, the Hell Hosts emerged.

Background

By the time fighting reached Virex Prime, the war between the Terrorism Control Agency and Free Order Rebellion had developed far beyond its original beginnings.

The FOR had grown from a rebellion into a major organized military force capable of confronting the TCA directly, while the TCA had committed increasingly large amounts of personnel, equipment, and territory to defeating it.

Years of warfare had severely damaged both organizations.

Virex Prime eventually became the location of their final major confrontation.

The Free Order Rebellion launched a desperate assault against remaining TCA command positions within the capital while TCA forces attempted to surround and eliminate the rebellion.

The resulting battle rapidly developed into one of the bloodiest urban conflicts of the war.

Battle of Virex Prime

Fighting spread throughout the capital and surrounding regions as TCA and FOR forces committed themselves to the battle.

Urban districts became contested territory, military positions were repeatedly attacked and recaptured, and the orbital forces surrounding Virex Prime became increasingly involved in the conflict.

Both factions entered the battle intending to defeat the other.

Neither would leave Virex Prime in the same form.

Rogue Fleet Intervention

At the height of the battle, The Rogue Fleet unexpectedly intervened.

George Wilson and Jordan Thompson, the leaders of the opposing forces, were removed from the immediate battlefield and teleported onto the roof of a building within the devastated capital.

The intervention abruptly interrupted the confrontation between the two leaders.

Wilson and Thompson had spent years commanding opposing sides of the TCA–FOR War. However, the rapidly deteriorating situation on Virex Prime forced the two enemies into direct contact and temporarily required them to put their differences aside.

The exact motivations behind the Rogue Fleet’s intervention and its wider objectives during the battle remain unclear.

Free World Order Attack

Not long after the Rogue Fleet intervention, the newly emerging Free World Order entered the conflict.

Free World forces launched a massive attack against TCA and FOR forces around Virex Prime, including the orbital fleets supporting the battle.

The attack devastated an already unstable battlefield.

Orbital formations were disrupted or destroyed, existing command structures began collapsing, and forces on the surface were thrown into further confusion as the conflict expanded beyond the original TCA–FOR confrontation.

For the Free World Order, Virex Prime represented one of the faction’s earliest major military actions and demonstrated that it had already developed beyond a small emerging movement.

For the TCA and FOR, the attack created a new threat at a moment when both factions were already exhausted by years of warfare.

Collapse of the TCA and FOR

The combination of prolonged warfare, the battle for Virex Prime, the Rogue Fleet intervention, and the Free World Order attack pushed both the Terrorism Control Agency and Free Order Rebellion toward collapse.

The distinction between the two forces became increasingly difficult to maintain as surviving personnel faced threats beyond their original conflict.

Former enemies were forced into temporary cooperation simply to survive the destruction surrounding them.

The TCA–FOR War effectively ended not with one faction achieving victory over the other, but with both organizations being transformed by the catastrophe at Virex Prime.

Neither faction would continue in its previous form.

Formation of the Hell Hosts

In the aftermath of the battle, surviving elements of the Terrorism Control Agency and Free Order Rebellion were brought together.

From the remnants of the two former enemies, the Hell Hosts were formed.

The creation of the Hell Hosts represented a dramatic break from the conflict that had preceded them. Soldiers who had spent years fighting one another were now part of the same emerging military organization.

The exact circumstances surrounding the earliest organization and command structure of the Hell Hosts remain partially undocumented.

George Wilson and Jordan Thompson both became important figures within the early history of the faction.

Predator

Despite his later association with the Hell Hosts, William Grant was not responsible for the faction’s formation at Virex Prime and was not a member of either the TCA or FOR during their war.

William joined the Hell Hosts after their creation.

He would eventually become one of the faction’s most important figures and later assume leadership following the death of Monster and the disappearance of Jordan Thompson.

Because Predator later became so closely associated with the Hell Hosts, later accounts sometimes incorrectly connect him directly to the faction’s creation at Virex Prime.

His rise occurred afterward.

Destruction of Virex Prime

The war inflicted catastrophic damage upon Virex Prime.

Large sections of the capital and surrounding industrial regions were destroyed through prolonged urban warfare, heavy weapons, military offensives, and orbital attacks.

Infrastructure collapsed across major population centres, while numerous areas were abandoned or rendered unsafe following the battle.

Parts of the planet remained under military quarantine for years afterward.

The devastation became one of the most visible reminders of the destructive scale the TCA–FOR War had eventually reached.

Historical Significance

The War of Virex Prime is widely regarded as the end of the TCA–FOR era.

The Terrorism Control Agency and Free Order Rebellion, which had dominated the conflict leading into Virex Prime, ceased to exist in their previous forms.

At the same time, two organizations that would become increasingly important to later galactic history emerged from this period.

The Free World Order demonstrated its growing military strength through its intervention at Virex Prime, while the destruction of the TCA and FOR created the circumstances surrounding the formation of the Hell Hosts.

The two factions would eventually become major rival powers within the Omicron Galaxy.

Virex Prime therefore represents more than the end of a war.

It marks the transition between two different periods of galactic history.

Aftermath

The War of Virex Prime effectively brought the TCA–FOR War to an end.

Neither the Terrorism Control Agency nor Free Order Rebellion achieved the decisive victory they had sought. Instead, both organizations were devastated by the battle and the intervention of outside factions.

Surviving elements of both forces subsequently contributed to the formation of the Hell Hosts, creating a new military organization from the remnants of two former enemies.

The Free World Order survived Virex Prime as an independent faction and continued its rise as a growing military power.

Virex Prime itself was left devastated by the conflict, with significant portions of the planet remaining damaged, abandoned, or restricted long after the fighting ended.

William Grant would later join the Hell Hosts and eventually become its leader, beginning another major period in the faction’s history.
