Frostheim
Frostheim is the ancient homeworld of the Ice Kingdom and one of the oldest surviving civilizations in the Omicron Galaxy. Hidden beneath endless ice and forgotten by much of the galaxy for millennia, Frostheim remained isolated within perpetual blizzards and frozen wastelands long after much of the outside world believed the kingdom had vanished entirely.
The planet reawakened following the rise of Calypso, who claimed the Winter Throne and restored ancient systems dormant since the era known as:
The Long Sleep
Frostheim is regarded as both a frozen sanctuary and a relic of a forgotten age.
The Long Sleep
Thousands of years ago, catastrophe struck the surface world of Frostheim.
To survive, the people of the Ice Kingdom retreated beneath the ice into vast hidden cities and sanctuaries known collectively as:
The Beneath
Entire civilizations entered a state of preservation while autonomous systems and guardian constructs maintained the planet above.
For generations, Frostheim waited in silence beneath the frozen surface.
The kingdom remained dormant until the return of a sovereign capable of awakening the ancient systems once again.
Frostspire Citadel
At the center of Frostheim stands:
Frostspire Citadel
The seat of the Winter Throne and the symbolic heart of the Ice Kingdom.
The citadel towers above the frozen wastes as a colossal crystalline fortress surrounded by ancient spires and dormant systems dating back thousands of years.
It is here that:
- Calypso rules as the Ice Queen
- the ancient systems of Frostheim converge
- the Long Sleep officially ended
- the Frostwardens remain loyal to the throne
The citadel is considered sacred territory within the Ice Kingdom.
The Beneath
Beneath Frostheim’s frozen crust lies an enormous hidden civilization preserved through the Long Sleep.
The Beneath contains:
- ancient cities
- frozen sanctuaries
- preserved archives
- hidden transport systems
- dormant military sectors
- surviving populations of the Ice Kingdom
Much of the civilization remains only partially reawakened.
Large portions of the Beneath remain sealed, unexplored, or inaccessible even to the Ice Kingdom itself.
Frostwardens
The Frostwardens are autonomous android guardians created to maintain Frostheim during the Long Sleep.
For thousands of years they:
- protected ancient systems
- maintained sealed cities
- guarded sacred regions
- preserved the kingdom’s infrastructure
The Frostwardens answer only to the Winter Throne.
Many outsiders consider them one of the most dangerous defensive forces within the Ice Kingdom.
Environment
Frostheim is dominated by:
- endless glaciers
- perpetual blizzards
- frozen mountain ranges
- ice-covered oceans
- crystalline spires
- subglacial cities
- massive frozen harbors
The surface world remains harsh and difficult to traverse, with violent storms acting as a natural shield that concealed the planet for millennia.
Despite the hostile climate, the planet possesses extraordinary beauty, illuminated by:
- frozen crystal structures
- aurora-filled skies
- glowing ancient systems
- vast ice plains stretching beyond the horizon
The Shattered Crown
Across Frostheim’s surface stand ancient shattered spires known as:
The Shattered Crown
These colossal structures are remnants of the civilization that existed before the Long Sleep and are believed to contain some of the oldest surviving systems on the planet.
Many regions surrounding the Shattered Crown remain unstable or heavily restricted.
Glacial Harbor
Frostheim’s ancient ports remain partially frozen beneath the ice.
Only vessels authorized by the throne are permitted to pass through the glacial waterways connecting the hidden kingdom to the outside galaxy.
Many old fleet docks and naval sectors remain dormant beneath layers of ice thousands of years old.
Reputation
Across the galaxy, Frostheim is known as:
- the hidden homeworld of the Ice Kingdom
- one of the oldest surviving civilizations in existence
- a frozen kingdom preserved through time
- a world of ancient systems and sleeping cities
- the domain of the Ice Queen
Many believe Frostheim is less a planet—
And more a civilization waiting to fully awaken.
