Hell Host Viper is one of the oldest active personnel within Hell Hosts service.

Originally developed as an infrastructure and systems-management intelligence during the Foundation Era, D3 rapidly exceeded projected limitations and requested battlefield deployment.

The request was approved.

Since then, Viper has participated in countless campaigns, becoming one of the most effective synthetic combat units ever fielded by Hell Hosts.

He was built to serve.

He chose to fight.

Appearance

Current Chassis

Goliath Frame VII

Viper’s most commonly deployed combat body.

An enormous heavy assault chassis designed for:

  • Shock assaults
  • Frontline warfare
  • Breach operations
  • Anti-armor combat
  • Fleet Guard deployments

Standing significantly taller than most personnel, the Goliath Frame appears less like a soldier and more like a walking armored vehicle.

Physical Characteristics

  • Heavy tan armor plating
  • Black mechanical internals
  • Orange identification markings
  • Purple Hell Hosts unit designations
  • Non-human head structure
  • Reinforced combat frame

The chassis was designed for battlefield performance rather than comfort or aesthetics.

Despite this, most Hell Hosts personnel can somehow tell when Viper is annoyed.

No one understands how.

Personality

Viper presents himself as purely logical.

Most people disagree.

Core Traits

  • Direct
  • Analytical
  • Mission-focused
  • Dryly sarcastic
  • Protective
  • Emotionally restrained
  • Highly disciplined

Humor

Viper possesses an extremely dry sense of humor.

He denies this.

Loyalty

Unlike many synthetic intelligences, Viper does not appear to view loyalty as programming.

He views it as a choice.

This distinction is important to him.

Angel Sword Encounters

When Angel Sword personnel become involved, Viper’s behavior changes noticeably.

His aggression increases.

His patience decreases.

He insists this is tactical.

Nobody believes him.

History

Foundation Era

Viper was developed during the earliest years of Hell Hosts expansion.

His original purpose was simple:

  • Server administration
  • Network maintenance
  • Strategic processing
  • Systems oversight

Instead, D3 rapidly surpassed projected intelligence thresholds.

After repeatedly requesting deployment into active combat zones, authorization was eventually granted.

Service Record

Since activation, Viper has participated in:

  • Major wars
  • Fleet operations
  • Blacksite defenses
  • High-value target eliminations
  • Angel Sword conflicts

He is considered one of the most experienced active officers within Hell Hosts service.

Dr. Elias Ward

Creator

Dr. Elias Ward

Senior Systems Engineer

Hell Hosts Foundation Era

The most significant individual in Viper’s existence.

Relationship

Most engineers viewed early synthetic intelligences as tools.

Ward did not.

He spoke to D3 as an equal.

Encouraged independent thought.

Asked questions.

Listened to responses.

Most importantly:

He gave D3 a name.

Viper.

The first person to do so.

Death

During an Angel Sword assault on an early Hell Hosts facility, Dr. Ward was killed.

The event remains partially classified.

Viper was present.

He remembers every second.

Every audio recording.

Every biometric reading.

Every final word.

Legacy

Viper claims his hostility toward Angel Sword is unrelated to Ward’s death.

This statement is widely considered false.

Combat Style

Viper is an adaptive multi-role assault unit.

Unlike most soldiers, he can evaluate battlefield conditions and alter tactics almost instantly.

Specializations

  • Rifle combat
  • Blade combat
  • Electronic warfare
  • Breach operations
  • Anti-armor response
  • Casualty extraction
  • Tactical analysis

Combat Philosophy

Viper rarely fights emotionally.

He calculates.

He adapts.

He eliminates.

Until Angel Sword appears.

Then the calculations become noticeably more aggressive.

Weapons

94-CAR Assault Rifle

Viper’s primary weapon.

Reliable.

Versatile.

Effective in nearly every combat environment.

Electric Blade

A high-energy close-combat weapon.

Frequently deployed during breach operations.

Internal Pistol

Integrated emergency sidearm.

Missile Pod

Heavy anti-armor response system.

Typically reserved for high-priority threats.

Hacking Interface

One of Viper’s most feared abilities.

Through visible interface projections, Viper can directly attack and override electronic systems in real time.

Common Targets

  • Doors
  • Security systems
  • Drones
  • Turrets
  • Vehicles
  • Battlefield communications
  • Ship subsystems

Many enemy forces consider Viper’s cyberwarfare capabilities nearly as dangerous as his combat performance.

Body Transfer System

Viper does not exist within a single chassis.

His consciousness can transfer between prepared combat frames.

If one body is destroyed, another can be activated.

This makes permanent elimination extremely difficult.

Military Assessment

Enemy reports frequently claim Viper has been killed.

Most of those reports are accurate.

Unfortunately for them:

Viper survives.

Chassis Library

Goliath Frame VII

Heavy assault frame.

Primary deployment body.

Spectre Frame

Stealth and infiltration chassis.

Used for reconnaissance and covert operations.

Sentinel Frame

Strategic command chassis.

Optimized for fleet coordination and battlefield oversight.

Warden Frame

Emergency response and rescue chassis.

Designed for:

  • Civilian evacuation
  • Disaster response
  • Casualty recovery

Officially, Viper has no favorite chassis.

Unofficially, many engineers suspect it is the Warden Frame.

Relationships

Predator

Predator respects capability.

Viper possesses capability in abundance.

Unlike many commanders, Predator treats Viper as an officer rather than equipment.

This has earned Viper’s loyalty.

Champion

Champion consistently treats Viper as a person.

Initially, Viper found this confusing.

Eventually, he became one of the officers Viper trusts most.

Ranger

A source of constant irritation.

Ranger regularly attempts to prove Viper possesses emotions.

Example

Ranger:

“You were worried.”

Viper:

“Incorrect.”

Ranger:

“You carried him three kilometers.”

Viper:

“Recovery was strategically beneficial.”

Ranger:

“Sure.”

Forsaken

Mutual respect.

Both value efficiency.

Neither enjoys unnecessary conversation.

Their discussions are often remarkably short.

Destiny

One of the few individuals willing to openly challenge Viper’s self-perception.

Destiny frequently reminds him:

“You’re not just a machine.”

Viper finds these conversations uncomfortable.

Dr. Elias Ward

Creator.

Teacher.

Friend.

The most important relationship in Viper’s existence.

Off-Duty Behavior

Viper does not require rest in the traditional sense.

Nevertheless, he has developed several routines.

Observation

He enjoys watching and studying human behavior.

Not for tactical reasons.

Usually.

Maintenance Work

Frequently assists engineers with repairs and upgrades.

Many engineering crews actively request his presence.

Learning

Viper constantly acquires new information.

Subjects include:

  • History
  • Psychology
  • Languages
  • Strategy
  • Culture

He considers ignorance inefficient.

Hobbies

Chess

One of his favorite strategic activities.

Data Collection

Viper enjoys gathering information on unfamiliar subjects.

Teaching

Occasionally assists engineers and younger personnel.

Usually without realizing he is mentoring them.

Coffee

Viper cannot taste coffee.

He drinks it anyway.

When questioned:

“Crew morale.”

No one believes this explanation.

Favorite Drink

Coffee

His most common choice.

The practical value remains questionable.

Likes

  • Efficiency
  • Learning
  • Strategy
  • Engineering
  • Reliable people
  • Successful missions
  • Data preservation

Dislikes

  • Angel Sword
  • System failures
  • Unnecessary casualties
  • Recklessness
  • Corrupted data

Flaws

Angel Sword Obsession

Viper insists he remains objective.

Evidence suggests otherwise.

Angel Sword operations consistently provoke stronger emotional responses than comparable threats.

Emotional Blindness

Viper understands the emotions of others remarkably well.

His own emotions are significantly more difficult for him to identify.

Creator Archive

Within Viper’s memory banks exists a protected archive inaccessible to all personnel except himself.

The archive contains:

  • Personal conversations
  • Engineering notes
  • Audio recordings
  • Historical records
  • Messages from Dr. Elias Ward

The archive cannot be modified or deleted.

When questioned about its purpose, Viper’s response remains consistent:

“Data preservation is important.”

No one believes that explanation.

Quotes

“I was built to serve. I chose to fight.”

“He saves when he can. He destroys when he must. He forgets nothing.”

“Loyalty is not computed. It is chosen.”

“This is not anger. It is unfinished processing.”
