Deuteronomy
Deuteronomy is one of the most mysterious and least understood worlds controlled by the Angel Swords. Very little verified information exists regarding the planet, and most available records are fragmented, classified, or entirely contradictory.
The surface of Deuteronomy is believed to consist almost entirely of a vast viscous black liquid covering the entire planet.
No confirmed stable landmasses have ever been documented.
Environment
The black substance covering Deuteronomy displays highly abnormal properties.
Reports suggest the liquid:
- absorbs nearly all light
- produces minimal reflection
- swallows solid matter rapidly
- behaves inconsistently under observation
- may possess non-natural composition
Anything unfortunate enough to make direct contact with the surface is rarely recovered.
Ships, probes, and exploration equipment sent too close to the liquid frequently disappear without trace.
Some reports suggest objects swallowed by the substance continue transmitting signals briefly after submersion before abruptly ceasing entirely.
Atmospheric Anomalies
One of the most unusual properties of Deuteronomy is the severe disruption of transverse waves within the atmosphere.
The planet interferes heavily with:
- communication systems
- sensor arrays
- electromagnetic transmission
- long-range scanning
- visual observation
Signals entering the atmosphere often become:
- distorted
- delayed
- duplicated
- or completely erased
Because of this, accurate planetary mapping has proven nearly impossible.
Exploration Attempts
Very few expeditions to Deuteronomy have succeeded.
Most missions suffer from:
- navigation failure
- communication loss
- equipment malfunction
- disappearance of personnel
- unexplained psychological effects
The Angel Swords heavily restrict access to all known approach routes surrounding the planet.
The reasons for this remain unknown.
Theories
Due to the lack of reliable information, numerous theories surround Deuteronomy.
Some believe:
- the black liquid is alive
- the planet is an ancient containment world
- the surface conceals structures beneath the liquid
- the planet possesses dimensional properties
- Deuteronomy is connected to forgotten Angel Sword history
No theory has ever been confirmed.
Reputation
Across the galaxy, Deuteronomy is regarded as:
- one of the least understood planets in known space
- a forbidden Angel Sword world
- a planet associated with disappearances and anomalies
- a world many believe should remain unexplored
Even among the Angel Swords, discussion of Deuteronomy is rare and heavily restricted.
